Therapeutic Massage

Commitment to Healing.

Today, an increasing number of people are seeking alternative treatments to manage their pain and improve their overall wellness, as well as reduce their reliance--and in many cases dependence--on medication. We offer several treatment options to suit your individualized needs.

Please read below to learn more about the following:   Massage Services  |  Benefits of Massage.

Massage Services

Deep Tissue Massage

Description:  Deep tissue massage is aimed at the release of chronic muscle tension by focusing on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. The strokes used are similar to those employed in a Swedish massage, but are slower using deeper applied pressure that is focused on a specific area of tension or pain. Deep tissue massage is often combined with Trigger Point Therapy. Pictured left: Our tranquil treatment room.

Benefits:  This type of massage reaches deeper affected muscle layers and accelerates healing after an activity or sports event. By accessing deeper adhesions (also known as “knots”), it allows them to separate and loosen up,

so that the muscle tissue can elongate and function optimally as intended.

Cost:  60 minutes for $105  |  75 minutes for $125  |  90 minutes for $145

           |  120 minutes for $225

Sports Massage

Description:  Sports Massage is a focused and systematic treatment that can be performed as a full-body service, or, more commonly, focused on muscles used in a particular sport, e.g., running, tennis, etc. The techniques used are geared towards preventing injury, relieving muscle tension and decreasing muscle pain, reducing inflammation, increasing flexibility and overall range of motion, and to accelerate recovery after an athletic performance.

The three Sports Massage services include:

  • Pre-event massage, which occurs prior to the actual event, with the goal of warming up major muscles to prevent injury, and prepare the athlete mentally.
  • Post-event massage, which focuses on muscle recovery after an athletic performance.
  • Maintenance massage, which are regular treatments between events to help the body maintain balance to help prevent injuries; reduce recovery time from injuries; and enhance performance.

Benefits:  This massage is geared toward preventing injury, relieving muscle tension, reducing inflammation, increasing flexibility and to accelerate recovery after an athletic performance.

Cost:  60 minutes for $105  |  75 minutes for $125  |  90 minutes for $145

           |  120 minutes for $225

Swedish Massage

Description:  A relaxing massage utilizing long slow gliding strokes to facilitate the movement of fluids back to the heart to promote improved circulation, stress reduction and healing. Generally performed as a whole-body service.

Benefits:  This massage provides deep relaxation; improved circulation; movement of lymph (i.e., lymphatic fluid); rehydration of cellular tissue; relief from muscle pain and tightness; enhanced sleep and improved flexibility and/or mobility.

Cost:  60 minutes for $105  |  75 minutes for $125  |  90 minutes for $145

           |  120 minutes for $225

Trigger Point Therapy

Description: A style of massage also used to release chronic muscle tension by applying deep, sustained pressure to an area of adhesion (“knot”) in the muscle tissue. This technique is often combined with Deep Tissue massage.

Benefits:  Works in conjunction with Deep Tissue massage to break up adhesions (also known as “knots”) and allows them to separate and loosen up, so that the muscle tissue can elongate and function optimally as intended.

Cost:  60 minutes for $105  |  75 minutes for $125  |  90 minutes for $145
